One frame from a beautiful wedding I shot this weekend in Okoboji at the Wild Rose Inn.

Rachel and Preston are such a great couple with so much love for each other. I knew from the first time I met them for their Chicago engagement session that it’s going to be a great wedding. I wasn’t wrong. Their big day at Bella Sala in Iowa City was amazing.

I got to spend a beautiful day in Okoboji photographing Nicole and Jon’s engagement session. They showed me around town, had lunch at an amazing mexican restaurant, got coffee at Jon’s favorite coffee shop and got some great pictures together.

I got a preview of how their wedding is going to be and I can’t be more excited to get back and photograph it in August. It is going to be amazing. I promise.

What a beautiful day I got to spend together with Jenny and Sam. They chose The Grand River Center, overlooking the river for the ceremony and Hotel Julien for their ballroom reception.

For my first time being in Davenport I think I couldn’t have had a better day. The first location we chose for this engagement session was Lagomarcino’s – a heaven for chocolate lovers. Candy and chocolate for breakfast? It doesn’t get any better than this. Pay them a visit if you happen to be in Moline or Davenport.

We even braved Iowa’s cold winter weather to get some outdoor shooting.

Ended the session at Hotel Blackhawk.

Can’t wait to photograph their wedding ceremony at Salisbury House and Gardens and the reception at Simpson Barn in Des Moines.

I had a great time today shooting Lindsay & Karl’s engagement session in Davenport.
The last location for our session was the hip and historic Hotel Blackhawk which was recently opened after being renovated. It looks amazing and I am sure it will be a very popular venue for weddings. Can’t wait to shoot there again!

We struggled a little to get this shot in the elevator but it turned out pretty well so I thought it would make for a great preview.
