Very excited to share this engagement session I shot in Hickory Hill Park and downtown Iowa City.

I loved being a part of this beautiful wedding. Megan and Mitch did a wonderful job planning their wedding at the Goldmoor Inn. Such an awesome day!

Anlis and Mitch were initially planning a wedding in Des Moines but they had to change plans because they moved to South Dakota. So I got a chance to travel to and see a new state
. As an Iowa wedding photographer I don’t get to photograph weddings in a lot of urban settings but I do get to know a lot of awesome people and Anlis and Mitch were no exception.
Here are a few photos from their Brookings, SD wedding:

Ceremony: St. Thomas More Catholic Church
Reception: Shamrock
I love to travel and there are very few destinations that I love as much as NYC. There’s something magic about this city and from time to time we go there to satisfy our cravings for urban settings. It’s so reinvigorating to wander aimlessly through the streets of Manhattan. Even more so around Christmas when the sidewalks and stores are even more crowded.

The Bergdorf Goodman Christmas windows are famous are really beautiful and they have something different each year. It’s really incredible how much work goes into setting them up.

Across the street there’s a Tiffany store and their windows are worth seeing too:)

It was fun and I can’t wait to get back there. If you are looking for a photographer for your NYC wedding get in touch !
I loved every single wedding I photographed in 2011 and I couldn’t have asked for better clients. I am one lucky photographer, I must admit that. I got the chance to work at some great venues like The Salisbury House in Des Moines, Simpson Barn, The grand River Center, a private cabin in northern Michigan or The Rose Inn of Okoboji and I hope to return to these fantastic venues to shoot this year.
Here are a few of my favorite wedding photos from last year. Browse through my blog to discover yours!

Happy new year! Hope everyone had a great start to 2012.
I am a little bit behind on blogging and I still have some awesome weddings and engagement sessions to share from last year. And some travel photos too – as I just got back from NYC where we spent Christmas and New Year’s eve with family and friends.
Some of my work has been published on a few wedding blogs in the past months and I am very honored to share these features with you.

Nicole and Jon’s beautiful outdoor wedding hosted by the Wild Rose Inn of Okoboji was featured on Style me Pretty. A lot of DIY inspiration for future brides. Nicole really did an outstanding job and i can’t wait to share a lot of photos from their wedding. Coming soon so stay tuned.

There aren’t a lot of destination weddings happening in Dubuque, Iowa but Jenny and Sam planned a beautiful one at the Grand River Center / Hotel Julien. Featured on Destination Brides.

Emily and Matt’s northern michigan wedding featured on ANW.
