I am so excited about their wedding! Until then, some engagement pictures:)

Laura and I are getting married on a ranch in southern Indiana next September. We are so excited to get to celebrate our love and commitment to each other with all of our family and friends around us. Though we’ve started to take care of some of the big wedding logistics, our engagement shoot with Razvan was the most fun and creative wedding thing we’ve done yet, and it made me really excited about this big step we’re getting ready to take in our lives. We wanted the shoot to include some of the things that bring us together — the science museum because we’re both scientists, the skate park because we both skateboard and play roller derby together, and a couple places to show off the beautiful Indiana landscape because we both love the outdoors.

It fills me with joy to have wonderful couples make me part of their lives and trust me to document one of the most important days – their wedding. I like to get to know my clients and these is why my engagement sessions are not typical. I love spending at least half a day with my couples. We take a lot of pictures, we talk about our lives, we go to lunch or dinner together. They will get to know me better and they will feel more comfortable in front of the camera when their wedding comes.

Lauren & Mike know how to make the best out of everything. The weather forecast did not look very well
for the day we scheduled the engagement session. There were very high chances of rain, and the morning looked gloomy.
But something magical happened and their joy made the sun smile for the rest of the day. And I think their engagement session shows that when you smile, the sun smiles back to you! Enjoy the pictures!

Just got back from an awesome week spent in Albufeira, Portugal. While I was there I got to shoot an engagement session for Alecs & Raluca. I’m looking forward to their wedding next year:)
