It’s hard to comprehend the beauty of Spain in a few words so I hope some photos would do it more justice. I fell in love with Spain a few years ago when we visited Barcelona.
This time we went to Malaga on Costa del Sol.
This couple of street performers were trying to raise money for their wedding.
Ronda is about an hour and a half away from Malaga and it’s well worth the trip. Plaza de Toros de Ronda is the oldest bullfight arena in spain. The construction was finished in 1785 and every year it hosts the ‘Corrida Goyesca’ – a historical bullfight.
For one of the best views in Malaga you should go to Hotel AC Malaga. If you go there at night be prepared for a stunning view of the port and the Cathedral.
I can only imagine how stunning a wedding here would be and I would love to be given the opportunity to photograph one:)
Another day trip was to Tarifa, at the Gibraltar Straight. It’s the most southern point of continental europe. You can see the coast of Africa which is about 12 miles away. We didn’t get across the straight but you can get a ferry to Morocco for about 35 euros per person.
Malaga is the birthplace of Pablo Picasso so you can visit both the Picasso Museum and the and the Museo Casa Natal.
I’m trying to be as useful as possible with this blog post so here are some restaurant recommendations in Malaga: Bodega el Pimpi – I had some amazing veal here but everything else is just as tasteful and the atmosphere is awesome. Another nice restaurant is Meson Mariano at C/ GRANADOS, 9. If you like icecream get some at Freskito. It’s across the street from el pimpi – very convenient, I know :).
